As a member of the Research Software Engineering (RSE) leadership team, Lance oversees a portfolio of RSE projects focused on supporting life sciences research at Princeton University. His goal is to empower RSEs to develop high-quality research software that accelerates scientific discovery.

Background:

• Education: B.S. in Biology (Wesleyan University), M.S. in Computer Science (Arizona State University)
• Experience: Over 15 years in bioinformatics at the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics and 10+ years in programming at Arizona State University's University Technology Office.
