Event Description
This workshop will introduce participants to the Microsoft Azure Cloud. There will be two hands-on data science exercises to be performed on Azure. Below is the agenda:

9:00-9:20 Building Intelligent Solutions in the Cloud
9:20-10:40 Data Science and Machine Learning on Azure
10:50-12:10 Data Science with GitHub Codespaces
12:10-1:00 Lunch with Microsoft Azure staff

This workshop is designed for the the Princeton research community. The material is accessible to undergraduate students who are encouraged to attend.

Lunch will be available for all participants. You will receive an email regarding dietary restrictions and to opt out.

Workshop format: Presentation and hands-on

Target audience: Students and researchers looking to learn about cloud computing and options for data science in the cloud.

Knowledge prerequisites: Some knowledge of data science would be beneficial. This workshop presumes no knowledge of cloud computing.

Hardware/software prerequisites: Bring a laptop and a power cable. An up-to-date web browser is needed to do the hands-on exercises.

Learning objectives: Participants will come away with an overall understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud and have gained hands-on experience with data science workflows on Azure.
